Friday, 10 December 2021 (YJC)_ In a meeting with Turkish business people, the Iranian parliament speaker said that relations with neighbors is a priority for the current administration.

Ghalibaf: Ties with Neighbors our Top PriorityIn a meeting with a group of CEOs of large Turkish economic holdings and investors in Istanbul, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said that relations with neighbors is a priority for the current administration.

Ghalibaf went to the Turkish city of Istanbul on Wednesday evening to participate in the meeting of the 16th Parliamentary Union of OIC members. On Thursday evening, he held a meeting with a group of CEOs of large Turkish economic holdings and investors in Istanbul.

A report on the problems between Iran and Turkey is presented at the beginning of the session by the CEOs of the Turkish holdings and investors, in response to which Iranian parliament speaker said these problems can be solved and added “Our top priority is development of relations with neighbors and Islamic countries.”

“Iran is determined to expand bilateral trade with the neighboring countries,” he emphasized and noted “bilateral trade should not be postponed until the removal of the sanctions.”

Ghalibaf went on to say that “Now there are better grounds for the development of trade and economic relations.”
