Arrest of dozens of government officials in Saudi ArabiaThe Saudi Anti-Corruption Agency said it had arrested 41 government officials, including employees of the interior and defense ministries and citizens, on corruption charges.

The Saudi Anti-Corruption Agency stressed that 161 defendants were tried in administrative and criminal cases this month, 41 were arrested and some were released on bail.

The organization added:
They were arrested on charges of bribery, abuse of power, money laundering and forgery.

The defendants were employees of the Ministries of Defense, Health, Municipality, and Rural Affairs and Housing.

The Saudi organization called on citizens to report any suspicions and suspicions of financial or administrative corruption through various means of communication.

The Anti-Corruption Organization in Saudi Arabia has been investigating many cases for years, leading to the conviction of hundreds of current and former government employees and many citizens and immigrants.

Last month, Saudi authorities arrested a number of defendants in 13 criminal cases related to bribery, embezzlement, abuse and money laundering.
